Portrait of Chloe Bennett

Chloe Bennett

School Counselor & Student Success Coach

Chloe Bennett spent years watching students make decisions about their academic future based on numbers they did not fully understand. A student convinced she needed a perfect score on her final exam when a 74 would have been enough. A junior certain his GPA disqualified him from his target college when it actually put him well within range. The anxiety was real but the math behind it was almost always simpler than the student imagined, and Chloe made it her job to close that gap.

She studied Psychology and Human Development at Vanderbilt University, graduating in 2013. Her undergraduate coursework gave her a strong foundation in how students process information, manage stress, and make decisions under pressure, all of which turned out to be directly relevant to the work she ended up doing. She went on to complete a Master's in School Counseling and Student Affairs at the University of Tennessee in 2015, where her placement work included supporting high school students through the college application process and helping them interpret academic performance data in ways that were honest but not discouraging.

After graduating, Chloe worked for eight years as a school counselor at a large public high school in Nashville, advising students on everything from course selection and GPA management to college entrance requirements and scholarship eligibility. She sat through hundreds of conversations where a student came in panicked about a number and left relieved once someone walked them through the actual calculation. She moved into educational content writing to have those same conversations at scale. At Bro Calculator, she writes and reviews all tools in the Education and Everyday categories, bringing the patience and clarity she developed in years of student advising to every calculator page she works on.
