Portrait of Jordan Clarke

Jordan Clarke

Certified Personal Trainer & Sports Performance Writer

Jordan Clarke has spent his career helping people understand their bodies through numbers. Not in a clinical, detached way, but in the practical sense of knowing what the numbers actually mean for how you train, how you eat, and how you measure progress without driving yourself crazy in the process.

He studied Kinesiology and Exercise Science at Colorado State University, graduating in 2014. His undergraduate research focused on energy expenditure accuracy across different cardio modalities, specifically how much the numbers on gym equipment screens tend to overestimate calorie burn and what more reliable calculation methods look like. That project, born out of his own frustration with inconsistent fitness tracking, became the foundation for how he thinks about health and sports calculations today. He went on to earn his Certified Personal Trainer credential from the National Academy of Sports Medicine in 2015, one of the most respected certifications in the fitness industry.

Jordan spent eight years working as a personal trainer and sports performance coach in Denver, working with everyone from recreational runners preparing for their first 5K to semi-professional athletes tracking performance metrics across a full training season. He developed a reputation among his clients for being able to explain complicated fitness calculations in plain language, cutting through the noise of conflicting online advice and giving people numbers they could actually trust and act on. At Bro Calculator, he writes and reviews all tools in the Sports and Everyday categories, applying the same no-nonsense approach he used with his clients to every calculator page he works on.
